AUPOV09 is an inaugural networked learning
conference brought to you by EDUPOV, an Australian
company whose main mission is to advance the use of technology
solutions for educational organisation & workforce
development.
The event will attract many differing organsiational
representatives from education and related training industries
showcasing, networking and generally sharing information about the
use of POV technologies. The event will bring together many
differing online networks and individuals who are exploring or
directly implementing the use of POV technologies in education and
other training organisations.
What does POV stand for? What does it mean?
POV is the acronym used to decribe 'point-of-view'
technologies.....wearable or other video / audio technologies which
follow the line of sight of the user.

What are the main dates for this conference?
Where will it be held?
This year the AUPOV conference will be held at City Beach
Function Centre in Wollongong, NSW Australia which is only a short
scenic train trip or 1/2 drive south of Sydney. Close to beautiful
beaches, great café's, winery's and many other tourist
attractions makes Wollongong well worth visiting while in NSW.
Who is likely to be an AUPOV09 delegate?
The event will attract many differing education and related
training industries showcasing, networking and sharing infomation
about the use of POV technologies.
The AUPOV09 Cocktail evening will ensure that all events the
following day connect differing networks and individuals who are
exploring or directly implementing the use of POV technologies in
education.
Is there any opportunity to socialise before hand with other
delegates?
AUPOV09 will kick off with a social networking cocktail evening
event at the City Beach Conference Centre.

Leo Gaggl

As a web-application developer Leo
has been working on database driven web-applications for over 10
years. In recent years his focus was mainly in web-applications for
online education (LMS, ePortfolios) and mobile interfaces. He runs
Brightcookie.com Educational Technologies from its base in
Adelaide, but his work is spread all over Australia. He has been
responsible for the development of the backend technologies for the
EduPOV platform and the integration of POV Video with the Moodle
LMS. He is currently working on a number of projects to allow the
real-time streaming of POV video (and audio) from mobile
devices.
Alexander Hayes

An avid interest in web marketing and
communication management has lead Alexander Hayes, EDUPOV Director,
to forge a career path working with organizations to embed
information communication and networked learning leadership as part
of an e-business portfolio. Alexander facilitates workforce,
capability and career development training needs, calling upon an
extensive range of skills an experiences as a professional
educator, artist and web developer. Alex has worked
extensively with the Australian Flexible Learning Framework, TAFE
NSW, TAFE Western Australia and has an extensive teaching career
spanning over two decades with the primary, secondary , tertiary
and other government departments as Lecturer, Web Developer,
Project Manager, Researcher and Curriculum Instructional Design.

Geoff Lubich

Geoff is an automotive lecturer at
Pilbarra, TAFEWA with over 20 years teaching experience. Geoff has
a keen interest in the development of online learning and support
systems; of particular interest to Geoff is the development of
technologies that enable the generation of reusable learning
resources, the methodologies to support them, and real time contact
systems that will take the distance out of distance assessment and
training. Geoff is an EDUPOV Director and is the originator of
camera glasses technologies as being trialled by a large number of
TAFE and other organisations Australia wide.
Craig Lubich

Craig brings a wealth of experience
to the EDUPOV team and is the major investor of start up capital to
the company. Craigs experience in management and financial control
is expected to enable the EDUPOV team to plan and instigate
strategies that will ensure the longevity and success of the
company. After a short time working in health services, Craig made
his move into the Financial Services industry in 1985 joining AMP.
Craig's partnership with Bryan Taylor was born in 1988, when
together, they founded Plan B Wealth Management Ltd (then known as
Precedent Financial Services WA Ltd). A Certified Financial Planner
and the most senior member of the Plan B Adviser Team, Craig is
responsible for the overall design and development of the Corporate
and Private Client Advisory Services currently offered by Plan B.
Driven by a passion for helping others achieve their objectives and
with twenty years experience in the financial services industry,
Craig's areas of expertise include financial strategy analysis and
portfolio implementation.
